At its own “Work in Progress” conference in New York, Dropbox presented a number of innovations. In addition to a new video tool, there is also the now essential addition of additional AI functions. These had already been announced previously.
The spearhead of the upgrades is the AI-driven Dropbox Dash. This is a search feature that connects to your apps, content, and tools to find things and get answers faster. Dash can get started quickly with keywords. The system also includes a smart solution that allows you to store and reuse links: Stacks.
Currently, Dash is only available in English. You can download it now in open beta.
Dropbox has also been working on the online experience for its users. A new design aims to make it easier to organize content, collaborate with others and complete tasks. Dropbox recently ended its partnership with Google for document editing.
Among these new features you will find:
This updated design is now available to select customers and will continue to roll out in the coming weeks.
In addition to Dash, there is also the frequently mentioned Dropbox AI. It allows users to ask questions in natural language and aggregate content from across their Dropbox account. Users have the necessary control over the system via the settings.
Dropbox AI is currently in alpha and will be rolled out to more users in the coming days.
Video users now have Dropbox Studio, an all-in-one central site for videos. You can also collaborate on it.
