If you like hybrid and highly mobile notebooks, pay attention to One Netbook 5, because it is a new “gem” from one of the manufacturers that dominates the compact disk segment.

The One Netbook 5 follows the concept of Microsoft’s recently introduced Surface Laptop Studio 2, but is smaller and lighter. Its format is convertible, but the way it offers different types of use (notebook, tablet, transitional modes…) It differs from the general standard of 360-degree hinges, because you can lift the lid to use as a traditional laptop; Pull the screen forward to rest against the keyboard as a stand for typing or drawing, or push it all the way forward to cover the keyboard for use in e-tablet mode.

A unique design that One Netbook can assemble into a truly compact machine with dimensions of 232 x 167 x 15 mm and a weight of 970 grams. Its screen is multi-touch LTPS 10.1 inches diagonal, with native resolution 2560 x 1600 pixels and finger support on 10 touch points or styluses with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The chosen processor is Intel 12th generation and specifically a Core i7 1250U Low consumption with 10 cores and 12 threads, frequencies up to 4.7 GHz and TDP 9 to 29 watts. The integrated graphics is an Intel Iris Xe with 96 execution units and a frequency of 950 Mhz, with enough equipment for this type of convertible device that is not intended for games. It has an active cooling system with two fans, two copper heat pipes and an aluminum heatsink.

The manufacturer offers configurations 16 or 32 GB LPDDR5-5200 memory and PCIe Gen4 SSDs for internal storage with a choice of 1 or 2 TB.

Connectivity is remarkable. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 and releases the latest version of USB4 Type-C peripheral port. Includes additional USB 3.2 Gen1; microSD memory card reader; 3.5 mm audio jack; stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon and a fingerprint sensor on the power button. Its battery is 42.35 Wh and it comes with a 65W power adapter.

The One Netbook 5 comes preinstalled with Windows 11 and is available on its website for 1,169 euros, with 32 GB of memory, 2 TB of storage and a stylus. A high price for what was standard for this manufacturer, but we have to highlight the level of equipment and the fact that it is unmatched in this type of ultra-compact convertible.
