Four out of five Israelis believe that the prime minister’s governmentBenjamin Netanyahu is responsible on Saturday’s offensive by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) inside Israel, which has so far killed more than 1,200 people.

According to a survey by the Dialogue Center, 86 percent of Israelis including 79 percent of government coalition supporters, say the incursion by the Palestinian armed group constitutes “failure” of the government.

94 percent of respondents believe that the government is responsible, given “lack of preparedness” in terms of security, as the newspaper reports Jerusalem Post.

Thus, 56 percent of the population believe that Netanyahu must resign as soon as the open war with Hamas ends. 28 percent of those who share this opinion declare themselves voters of the government coalition.

In addition, 52 percent of respondents also expect that the Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallant, tender your resignation. Most said they did not believe the government would lead the war.
