American cloud storage company Box introduced the handy Hubs tool at its own BoxWorks conference. This new system allows users to share very specific content.

Not an empty box

With Box Hubs, a company can give every part of its organization a dedicated home base for exactly what the team needs. The tool can leverage content from an entire Box account to extract what is needed for a specific portal.

For example, you can create a portal for the HR team that only contains resumes, company rules, and other relevant files and documents. There is also the option to create a portal for a specific project, for example a hub where only the content is linked to a specific product launch.

Practical

An additional benefit of these more specific portals is that generative AI can find the required information much more quickly within such a hub. In addition, this information is also much more accurate due to the smaller search field. If desired, the AI ​​can also provide you with the necessary insights within a hub. At the beginning of the year, Box announced that it wanted to work together on Microsoft’s Copilot.

No coding is required for Box Hubs. You can create a new hub in your Box account and add an image, a kind of profile photo, so to speak. Then collect all relevant content in this new hub. You can even create a content playlist.

Then it’s just a matter of saving and publishing to share with anyone who needs access to that particular hub. Analytics also allow you to see how the content is being used within the team. Everything in Hubs enjoys the same security as Box’s other cloud services.
