At its own Max conference, which took place in Los Angeles over the past few days, Adobe presented some new things. One of these is Project Fast Fill, Firefly’s generative AI for videos.
Adobe’s Firefly is no longer just suitable for images, but now also for videos. At its most recent MAX conference, the company presented, among other things, its new Fast Fill project. This brings the collection of generative AI models to video editing.
The name of this new feature is reminiscent of Generative Fill for Photoshop and that is no coincidence. Project Fast Fill combines Firefly’s generative AI with the capabilities of Adobe video programs like Premiere Pro and After Effects.
Project Fast Fill allows users to easily edit videos using text input. You can add objects, remove people from the image, or adjust colors. There are also several ways to customize the background.
Currently the feature is still in the experimental phase, but given the work Adobe is putting into AI development, there’s a good chance Project Fast Fill will eventually make its way to general creative audiences. Firefly is finally ready for a second generation.
