We had to wait 13 years since Remedy gave us the creeps with the original, until the arrival of Alan Wake 2, giving continuity to one of the best suspenseful games in video game history (I still remember the feeling of anguish with the 2010 original). Of course preferences vary from person to person, but in my opinion it is one of the most anticipated games of the year with all the good and bad that comes with it.

I don’t think it’s necessary to delve too deeply into the bad, because the developers and distributors have already taken care of it, unfortunately, show us how dangerous it is to believe (and even more so before buying) a game we’ve developed expectations from. I won’t name specific names, but in 2023 alone we’ve already had a few examples of absolute lack of respect for users, but we all have a thorn (or several) in our hearts in this regard.

However, and although I feel a real sense of panic as I say this, There are several reasons to think that Remedy has done its homework well and that therefore on the day of the launch, i.e. next October 27, we will find a polished title that will meet expectations (at least on the technical side) and that will be liked from the first moment. . Obviously we can expect some bugs, that’s inevitable, but they should be minor and therefore shouldn’t mar the experience.
