With the new Zone Wireless 2, Logitech not only wants to convey your own voice clearly to the person you are talking to, but also their voice. Traditionally, headsets today almost always promote the purity of your own voice when making calls thanks to a good microphone and intelligent software. Logitech is now going one step further.
The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 uses artificial intelligence to clearly sound not only to yourself, but also to your opponent. Even if you use a bad headset or the built-in microphone in the laptop. You can optionally enable or disable the Enhanced Call Clarity feature in Logi Tune to separate the caller’s voice from the background noise.
To avoid distractions in noisy environments, the headset has active noise cancellation (ANC). Logitech calls it “Hybrid ANC” because the headset can cancel out ambient noise over a wider frequency range. You can choose between three ANC levels: ANC high, ANC low or transparency. If you wish, you can also work without ANC or transparency.
There is a USB-C receiver in the box that is either Teams certified or generic (Google Meet and Zoom certified) when used with the headset. You can easily switch between multiple devices via Bluetooth, such as your smartphone when you receive a call.
According to Logitech, battery life is around 40 hours of just listening with ANC turned off. You can listen to music for up to 10 hours with ANC turned on. Talking without ANC lasts for 18 hours, with ANC the battery life drops to 15 hours. Five minutes of charging is enough to talk for an hour. The latter comes in handy if you suddenly notice that your headset is flat. An optional charging stand is also available where you can hang the headset so that it is always charged.
Logitech Sync allows IT administrators to manage the Zone Wireless 2 headset within the organization, such as updating firmware and troubleshooting any issues. The ear pads and the battery are replaceable, which is a plus in terms of durability.
