Farewell to MIUI. Officially, Lei Jun himself announced that the operating system that will bring Xiaomi 14 to life will be Xiaomi HyperOS. Although there is no official confirmation, everything indicates that this will be a global system and will not be limited to China. It is a direct translation of the death of MIUI for new Xiaomi products.

Android based. Beyond the change in nomenclature, the fundamentals will remain practically the same. It has been confirmed that HyperOS will be an Android-based operating system. The main question that occupies our minds is whether MIUI-installed devices will be able to switch to HyperOS or whether they will continue their life cycle with MIUI updates.

Xiaomi and ecosystem. Xiaomi no longer wants to be just a mobile phone company; It wants to create its own product ecosystem, including electric cars. Therefore, it makes particular sense to create an operating system with which all its products can be easily interconnected.

Difficulty adapting to Europe. Xiaomi is unstoppable in Europe and Spain, but the big historical complaint from users stems from MIUI and some of its problems. Although it has a global version, it is a ROM designed by and for the Asian market.
