Police charge Greta Thunberg with civil unrest after arrest in London

Environmental activist Greta Thunberg was officially charged with crime of public disorder after his participation in a protest held in London against the fossil fuel industry, as the agency reported this Wednesday London Metropolitan Police (Met).

During Tuesday’s protest, Thunberg, 20, addressed the assembled media and called for the economic benefits generated by the fossil fuel industries to be “destroyed.”

He also condemned how “people around the world are dying and suffering from the consequences of the crisis caused by these industries.”

During the event, television cameras captured her and other protesters being detained by London police.
