Environmental activist Greta Thunberg was officially charged with crime of public disorder after his participation in a protest held in London against the fossil fuel industry, as the agency reported this Wednesday London Metropolitan Police (Met).

Thunberg is one of 26 accused Scotland Yard for participating in a protest called by Fossil Free London yesterday outside a hotel near Central Park Hyde Parkwhere energy company executives met on the occasion of the Energy Intelligence Forum.

In a statement released today, the Met confirmed that the Swedish environmentalist, who lives at an address in Dorset, England, has been charged with “failure to comply with a condition imposed by section 14 of the Public Order Act” and, along with the others, “will remain on parole.” until November 15, when he will appear in the magistrate’s court Westminster (London).

Apparently, officers asked the gathered activists to move off the road onto the sidewalks, which would allow them, according to police, to continue their protest.
