Samsung continues to work on the Galaxy S24 family, a new generation of high-end smartphones that will replace the current Galaxy S23, and will consist of three different models, the standard Galaxy S24, Plus and Ultra versions. Broadly speaking, Samsung’s strategy will not change in this sensebut thanks to the latest rumors and leaks coming out in recent months, I have new reliable and interesting information to share with you.
I thoroughly analyzed and filtered all the information that has come out so far, including the latest rumors, and I was able to extract from all of them five very interesting “secrets” about the Galaxy S24 which I will share with you in detail in this article. It is important that you keep in mind that although everything I tell you below is very reliable, it is not confirmed, so there is a possibility that there may be minor or major changes.
But you can be sure that Samsung will use the launch of the Galaxy S24 to show off major changes than the ones we saw in the Galaxy S23 versus the Galaxy S22. What I mean by this is that in general, the next generation of high-end smartphones from the South Korean giant will mean more prominent and interesting renovations than the current one and that the generation leap will be more noticeable even for the least advanced user.
1.-Galaxy S24 and titanium, a necessary relationship

Samsung used aluminum and glass in the Galaxy S23, it’s the combination of materials that gives them a premium finish, but Apple has raised the bar with the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max by integrating a titanium chassis. Titanium is a more expensive material that is at a higher level than aluminum because it has more resistance than steel and is lighter than it.
The South Korean company was rumored to use titanium in the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s chassis to keep up with Apple in build quality, but now everything seems to indicate that the said material will be extended to the entire Galaxy S24 family, including the basic model and the Plus version. If confirmed, Samsung would have a significant advantage over Apple as its entire new generation of smartphones would be built from titanium and glass.
The truth is, it seems like an excellent approach to me, and I think Samsung would be absolutely right to choose to use titanium in all Galaxy S24s. However, it should be taken into account that this material will increase production costs of all models, and that this could ultimately result in an increase in the selling price. It is also possible that the South Korean company will decide to absorb this cost increase instead of passing it on to consumers.
2.-New design for better adaptation to market reality

Another of the big changes we will see on the outside will be the new design that the Galaxy S24 will bring. In order to understand this, it is necessary remember the design Samsung used for the Galaxy S23because it will give us the starting point we need to compare.
The current models of the South Korean giant are characterized by two different approaches. Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ have slightly curved frame with rounded corners and completely flat front and back. Camera integration is almost complete at the back, meaning the lenses barely protrude from the chassis.
In the case of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, we have a more angular design with completely pointed corners and a slightly curved front. The camera integration on the back follows the same trend we saw on the Galaxy S23 and S23+.
Well, according to several Samsung rumors will release a new completely flat frame in the Galaxy S24 family, a design that Apple has been using since the launch of the iPhone 12. We had the opportunity to see several renders that show how this new frame would look on this new family of smartphones from the South Korean giant, and the truth is that it has a very good pint.
To this we must add a jump to completely flat display on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is a very important change, as it would mark the end of Samsung’s commitment to this type of screen, which generated a lot of interest at the time and even gave rise to the launch of exclusive smartphones such as the Galaxy S6 Edge. . With everything, It is unclear whether this model will also adopt a completely flat frame.
3.-LTPO M13 screen for everyone and 2500 nits brightness

It is an important “secret” that was revealed very recently. Samsung differentiated the Galaxy S23 with both size and specifications, leaving the standard model in a clearly inferior position compared to the Plus and Ultra versions. The screen is no exceptionas the Galaxy S23 is also below both.
This will change with the Galaxy S24, as Samsung will use same LTPO M13 panel in three models of this generationand they will all have the same maximum brightness level of 2,500 nits. This would also give Samsung an advantage over Apple, as the Apple company uses lower panels in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Of course, there will be no changes in the size of the screens of the Galaxy S24 series, nor the resolution or position of the front camera. This means that the standard model will have the size 6.1 inches and the FHD+ resolution will be the Plus size model 6.6 inches and FHD+ resolution and the Ultra model will be sized 6.8 inches and QHD+ resolution.
The display of all Galaxy S24s is expected to have slightly reduced bezels and the same placement of the front camera integrated into a small floating circular island located in a central position. We still need to see this camera integrated under the screen because, as many of our readers know, this change increases the cost of production and affects the quality that the camera can offer.
4.-Galaxy S24 will use Exynos 2400 SoC but in a limited range

Yes, I know we’ve been talking about the Exynos 2400 SoC for a long time, but not until recently we weren’t really sure that Samsung was going to use this chip in its new generation of smartphones and we didn’t know its exact plans if that was the case.
After the official presentation of the Exynos 2400 SoC, it is clear that Samsung will use this chip in the Galaxy S24, but I could do it two different ways, which gives this information that touch of “mystery”. The first option that the South Korean would have is the classic one that we all know, to integrate the new SoC Exynos 2400 in all Galaxy S24 sold in Europe, and that’s it.
There is a second option that would pass offer Exynos 2400 SoC only in standard and Plus models in Europe, and sell the Galaxy S24 Ultra in a single global version equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC, a chip that, according to what I had the opportunity to see in the latest leaks, seems to be more powerful than the Exynos 2400, both at the CPU level as the GPU.
The latter makes sense because since it’s a more powerful chip, its use as an exclusive solution for the Galaxy S24 Ultra in Europe would give it a unique touch, and would make him a more attractive option on the old continent. All in all, if you want my personal opinion, I’m more inclined to think that Samsung will limit itself to selling the entire Galaxy S24 line with the Exynos 2400 in Europe.
5.-Samsung wants to hit the Galaxy S24 as soon as possible

The iPhone 15 has generated a lot of interest, which cannot be disputed. Samsung is aware of this, and according to several reliable sources, the South Korean company has decided to respond preview of the Galaxy S24 presentation and launch. The Galaxy S23 was introduced on February 1st, but wasn’t available until February 17th of this year.
Well, the introduction of the Galaxy S24 will theoretically take place between the first and second week of January and all models They will be available from the 18th of the same month. If confirmed, Samsung would push the launch of this new generation a month ahead compared to the current generation, which could give it a bigger advantage in competition with the iPhone 15.
To expand on this section, I’ll leave you with another very interesting detail, which is that Samsung is said to decide not to increase the price of the Galaxy S24 for offer a more competitive value compared to the Apple iPhone 15. I’ve also seen some rumors talking about new promotions to support the pre-purchase phase of this new generation of smartphones. If confirmed, the prices of these new terminals will be as follows:
- Galaxy S24 128 GB: 959 euros.
- Galaxy S24+ 256 GB: 1,219 euros.
- Galaxy S24 with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB: 1,419 euros.
