“The Ministry of Economy has created a comprehensive information management strategy based on a data-driven approach to humanitarian demining on Ukrainian territory. American technology company Palantir, specializing in big data analytics, will help implement the plan,” the message says.
It was noted that the team of the Ministry of Economy presented the demo version of the unique project at the First International Donor Conference on Humanitarian Demining of Ukraine, held in Zagreb on October 11-12, 2023.
“Thanks to artificial intelligence, we will analyze big data to make quality decisions, set priorities, correctly understand the needs and what resources should be used for faster demining of Ukrainian territory. In particular, the system will be able to analyze data on potentially mined areas, including, for example, “It will be able to combine it with data from additional sources, such as social or critical infrastructure objects, and create options for more priority demining methods.” said the First Deputy Prime Minister. – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko.
According to him, the implementation of the information system will allow to quickly analyze decisions and actions in the field of humanitarian demining, correct them, improve approaches to clearing Ukrainian territory, improve and accelerate processes.
The strategic approach to information management developed by the Ministry of Economy will allow better determination of priorities in land demining and attracting an expert environment working in the field of innovation to humanitarian demining. The presence of an analytical dashboard and an interactive assistant that generates real-time data for management decisions will help all structures related to demining to work more effectively in this area.
The objective conditions for demining the entire Ukrainian territory can only be predicted after the end of the war, but priority demining can be carried out within 5 years, especially on agricultural lands, Ukrinform reports.
