He Pentagon American reported Wednesday that from August 2022 to April 2023, there were a total of 274 registrations. UFO or unidentified air phenomena (UAP) to analyze and understand the potential threats they pose to national security.
In a statement, spokesman Pat Ryder explained that on Tuesday the Department of Defense and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence submitted an annual report on the UAP to Congressas required by the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
It includes reports on observations from August 31, 2022 to April 30, 2023.and any recorded observations that occurred in prior periods and were not included in the previous report.
Domain-Wide Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) a total of 291 UAP reports were received during this periodof which 274 occurred during this period and another 17 between 2019 and 2022.
“The safety of our service members, our bases and installations, and protecting the security of U.S. operations on the ground, in the skies, at sea and in space is of paramount importance,” Ryder said, adding that The United States takes these reports very “seriously” incursions into its air, land or sea space.

As of April 30 of this year, the total number of cases being considered by the AARO is 800.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said the agency decided to create this department to understanding “anomalies in the sky” which are common.

That same year, independent experts appointed by NASA conducted a study, “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena,” which concluded that “current detection of UAP This usually happens and is detected by sensors. “They were not designed or calibrated for this purpose and that they lack complete metadata.”
