To give you an idea of ​​what to expect as a career starter in the IT industry, Robert Half has listed many gross monthly salaries in his Salary Guide 2024.

Gross monthly salary

The monthly wage is divided into three percentiles. The 25th percentile represents candidates with little to no experience. The 50th percentile represents an average experience, while the 75th percentile represents an above average experience. With the latter, you can rely on someone having almost all the necessary skills in-house.

According to a study by Robert Half, 30 percent of companies plan to fill permanent positions in the next twelve months. More than half (52%) want to maintain the number of permanent positions. We find almost the same numbers in the area of ​​temporary employment. Companies want to create 24 percent more temporary jobs in IT functions. More than half (57%) say the number of temporary jobs will remain the same in 2024.

The most sought-after positions in IT today are:

  • IT coordinator
  • ERP/application consultant

When it comes to the hardest skills to find, cybersecurity ranks first, followed by cloud specialists, BI analysts and SAP analysts.

The sectors with the greatest demand for IT jobs today are logistics, chemicals (production), FMCG, assembly and automotive.
