Ukrainian drone and UAV manufacturers presented their developments to military attachés of foreign countries in order to strengthen cooperation with international partners and attract investment in their production.
About this topic at a roundtable on the topic at Ukrinform “Drone army is the new reality of modern warfare» said Oleksandr Mamatov, head of the All-Ukrainian Organization of War Disabled, Armed Forces and Combatants and senior reserve officer of the engineering corps.
“Today, at the round table, we introduced our designers and manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles and kamikaze drones. Our military, who directly participated in the conflicts, also spoke. Today, we gathered together the accredited military attachés among us to explain what we are doing outside the state. However, we do not have enough resources to mass produce everything our army needs. we need more money. That’s why today we brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, maybe they want to help us, they also have their own companies, their own drone manufacturers,” said Mamatov.
During the “round table”, UAV designer and manufacturer Ruslan Pavlyuk presented four developments, including the FPV winged reconnaissance bomber “Vengeance”, the FPV drone reconnaissance bomber “Komar”, an electronic bomb for artillery and a solar complex with an additional inverter.
Oleksandra Knyukh, president of the Ukrainian UAV production company, emphasized that unmanned drone production should be increased, therefore attracting investment is extremely important.

“I manage the production department of aircraft type drones and wings. Our company started with small wings and progressed to making larger wings and planes. We now have more production, we produce in competitive volumes, but we want to grow further and are looking for investment for this,” said Knyukh.
He noted that information technologies are extremely important now because artificial vision and neural networks are needed for warriors to quickly capture the target.
Participants of the event were presented with a sample of attack UAV, a video of field tests, as well as information on the destruction of EW and the enemy’s target, night operation of attack drones, etc. was shown.
Answering the question of what difficulties Ukrainian manufacturers face, Mamatov noted: “Today we have designers, there is a small technological process that we maintain with our personal funds. We need components, microcircuits, optics, small engines and a small amount of financing so that we can purchase all this for our industry.” “
A representative of a company producing EW complexes in Ukraine added that the main problem is the purchase of parts from abroad. After all, global microelectronics and chip manufacturers in Europe and Asia are giving preference to large customers, forcing small Ukrainian manufacturing companies to stand in line for half a year or more. Therefore, giving priority to customers from Ukraine will play an important role in establishing drone and UAV production in Ukraine, where the war continues.
According to Ukrinform, fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received six Leleka-100 UAVs with a total cost of 8,995,349 hryvnia.
