We were wondering the other day if there was a market for multiple portable consoles. These small gaming machines that can be carried in your pocket are experiencing a second youth. And not a week goes by when we don’t introduce you to a new model.

The AYA Neo Flip is another addition to the collection. As its name suggests and apart from the general design that the Chinese manufacturer uses in its handheld consoles, It has a clamshell format which allows it to be folded thanks to the hinge system.

The machine will be distributed in two variants, one with a keyboard and the other with a dual screen reminiscent of an updated Nintendo DS. Turn back… or forward. And instead of the screen being in the middle between the controllers, the entire screen panel will be separated from them. The analog sticks are slightly recessed in the body of the console to prevent them from colliding when the lid is closed.

Both versions have a main LCD display 7 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and FHD resolution. Its SoC engine is a AMD Ryzen 7 7840U with 8 cores and 16 threads and integrated Radeon 780M graphics. Two analog sticks, a D-Pad, action buttons, and other additional buttons, as well as what appears to be an optical touch sensor and/or fingerprint scanner.

He AYA Neo Flip DS It is the one that contains the dual screen. We are not sure what it will serve. It could be useful for playing Nintendo DS games on emulator. Or maybe you could use it as a touchpad for games that work well with one. Or to display a chat window or other content without taking up space on the main screen. There aren’t too many games optimized for these types of designs.

We don’t know the release date or the price.
