The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Association (JEITA) announced the winners of the CEATEC 2023 award on Thursday, including Ukraine and Hong Kong.
This was announced on the award’s website, Ukrinform reported.
Ukraine won the Semi-Grand Prix with a device called Cardiomo, developed for long-term remote monitoring of the heart and controlled by artificial intelligence.
Cardiomo is a device consisting of a portable patch and a cloud-based analysis platform. With its help, early detection of irregular heartbeat is carried out without the involvement of medical professionals. Cardiomo connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, allowing patients to share their health results not only with doctors but also with family members.
Additionally, the Connected Care model can prevent cardiac complications and reduce healthcare costs by reducing hospitalizations and freeing up medical resources for acute and advanced care.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Serhiy Korsunskyi added that the Ukrainian stand at the fair was an unquestionable success in general.
“This is very good, because the Japanese market is very competitive. Ours has proven to be at the top,” the Ukrainian ambassador said.
The Hong Kong team was awarded the Grand Prize for the submitted R2C2 ARC System platform, a universal robot coordination platform that can be used to monitor, control and assign automated inspection and patrolling tasks to groups of robots from different manufacturers.
Equipped with a computer with artificial intelligence, cameras and other sensors, the R2C2 device also supports 5G, which enables remote control of robots. Additionally, the platform can receive video from robots in real time.
According to Ukrinform, a telemedicine pilot project based on artificial intelligence for the diagnosis of brain diseases was implemented for the first time in Ukraine in Odessa in September.
