First comes a truly impressive machine, which of course uses Threadripper 7000 processors (PRO WX-Series version), but also other high-level components. To begin with, you have the most processor cores ever in a Z by HP workstationwith 96 cores, all the technology added at the management and security level, as well as the ability to equip the GPU, memory and storage around it to handle any scenario.

The HP Z6 G5 A is offered in a generously dimensioned tower to accommodate future expansion needs and can be equipped with up to three RTX 6000 Ada Generation as an example, Professional NVIDIA dedicated graphics which combine third generation RT cores, fourth generation Tensor Cores and CUDA cores with 48GB of memory to offer truly spectacular graphics, rendering and AI performance and on par with Threadripper 7000.

Storage options are as flexible as you’d expect from a workstation, with hot-swappable NVMe hard drives on the front of the tower for quick and easy access. It has 6 PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 slots for installation up to 12 SSDsand the same can be said about how much RAM you need.

HP took the opportunity to redesign the tower’s interior and cooling system with a purpose increase air flow and regulate temperatures even at maximum performance. And also control the noise emitted, as the intelligent fan control adjusts the speed in real time using more than 20 temperature sensors to keep the operation as quiet as possible. In terms of durability, the manufacturer subjected the device to 360,000 hours of rigorous testing and demanding MIL-STD.

On the software side, the machine is certified for professional applications and custom solutions such as HP Anyware enables 3D VFX, artificial intelligence and machine learning with low latency and color accuracy across multiple network connections. Its remote system controller allows IT administrators to monitor and manage fleets of workstations. Another notable service comes from From HP Data Science Stack Manager, which simplifies access to the best open source software solutions in an easy-to-use platform for data scientists and AI creators. The device is WSL2 compatible for use in Linux under Windows.

HP Z6 G5 A will be available starting in November 2023 in selected regions. We expect more Threadripper 7000 machines from Lenovo and Dell.
