Juniper Networks introduces new firewalls for businesses. The company has new software in store for its MX routers.
Juniper Networks launches four new enterprise and data center firewalls. This affects the SRX1600, SRX2300, SRX4300 and SRX4700. The devices can process up to 1.4 terabits of data traffic. Juniper equips them with MACsec technology, which is intended to increase the security of Ethernet networks. MACsec provides additional encryption so attackers cannot easily manipulate data traffic.
The firewall specialist also equips its devices with TPM 2.0 chips. These contain sensitive data and are separated from the rest of the system, which is intended to prevent, for example, a hacker who has somehow gained access to the network from simply stealing encryption keys.
In addition to firewalls, Juniper introduces the Connected Security Distributed Services Architecture. This is new technology. The architecture combines centralized security management with routing and AI-driven security. Juniper decouples routing and security so organizations can scale both separately. The architecture is based on existing routers in the Juniper MX series.
