The Korean Air Aerospace Division has introduced a new KUS-SX drone designed to destroy enemy missile systems. A UAV with a wingspan of 3 meters can stay in the air for 9.5 hours at an altitude of up to 4.5 kilometers.
KUS-SX belongs to the class of reconnaissance and attack drones. The length of the UAV is 2.5 meters and its wingspan is 3 meters. The bow can be equipped with a warhead or sensors for surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
A barrage ammunition can reach an altitude of 4,500 kilometers and stay in the air for 9.5 hours. The enemy’s missile complexes are called the main target of KUS-SX.
The drone is similar in layout to the prototype called Kaori-X, which Korean Air’s aviation division has been developing for years. Featuring a delta-shaped design, this UAV has a “curved kite” configuration that provides better endurance compared to the triangular wing design. Source
