Despite previous rumors about new iPads, according to insiders, this event will focus primarily on Mac devices and the new Apple M3 chip.
After numerous online rumors about a product announcement from Apple in October, an online event is now officially planned for October 31st. The title of the event, Scary fast, doesn’t reveal anything special. Of course, new devices are faster than their predecessors.
Two weeks ago there was a rumor that Apple would announce new iPad models. Now Apple insiders agree that the new online product event will focus primarily on new Mac devices.
Bloomberg expects a renewal of the iMac and the three current MacBook Pro models. Since a live stream is provided instead of a simple press release, the chance that the announcement will be accompanied by news about the Apple M3 chip increases.
A new iMac makes sense, the previous model is already 2.5 years old, but the MacBook Pro models are very fast. The previous announcement only came from January of this year.
The Apple M3 chip is reportedly baked by TSMC in a 3-nanometer process, just like the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro. If the online event effectively focuses on new MacBook Pro models in addition to a new iMac, there is a good chance that the M3 Pro and M3 Max will also be introduced at the same time.
If you want to be there live, you have to give up sleep. The event begins on October 31st at 2 a.m. our time. You can follow the live stream here.
