According to Lin, China plans to land astronauts on the moon by 2030 and is “moving forward confidently in research and development to achieve the goal on time.”

The Chinese expert once again emphasized that China’s manned space technology is used only for peaceful purposes and that the country has never sought hegemony in space.

According to him, China is ready to continue international space cooperation and exchange. This may include joint flights of astronauts, development and testing of payloads for space applications, management of the space environment, and popularization of aeronautics and space science among young people.

On Thursday, October 26, China plans to launch another manned spacecraft “Shenzhou-17” with three astronauts, which will replace the crew of the “Shenzhou-16” mission, which has been in space for six months in Tiangong. space station.

“Tiangong” (translated from Chinese “Heavenly Palace”) is a manned, multi-module orbital station of China flying in a low Earth orbit at an altitude of 340 to 450 km above the Earth’s surface.

It currently consists of core and two laboratory modules. The launch of the fourth module, the Xuntian telescope, which will fly alongside the station, is planned for the end of the year.

As reported by Ukrinform, China successfully launched the Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft into Earth orbit from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome on May 30.
