Your mailbox is full and you can no longer see the forest for the trees? From now on, Google wants to help you with Bard if you want. By installing a Workspace extension, you give the search giant access to your data so they can aggregate your emails. We don’t see an option for ourselves yet. Due to stricter EU rules, the update may not be rolled out here yet.
The feature is still described as experimental today. You need a Google Workspace subscription to use the feature. Users of the free Gmail account are left out (for now).
Google emphasizes that your Workspace data will not be used to train Bards LLM. It is only used for the search query. If you want, you can disable the Workspace extension at any time.
You can share a Bard conversation with someone else today. Thanks to a new experimental feature, you can now share an image via Bard in addition to a conversation.
“Now that others see the image in your prompt, they can better understand your creative process and continue the conversation with Bard in their own way.”
As of last month, Google made it possible for paying Workspace customers to work across Gmail, Docs and other Google apps if they wanted. Bard has been available in Europe with a delay since this summer. Regulators are keeping an eye on Bard’s further development.
