HP is updating its ENVY notebooks with the latest generation of Intel processors

Restores a complete line of laptops, HP has just introduced Its new HP Envy 2022 series, loaded with up to four models of different specifications and sizes, and a strong focus on the growing popularity of video calling, leaves a single component common to all: HP True Vision 5 megapixel IR camcorders, compatible with features such as auto framing, dynamic voice and noise reduction enhanced by artificial intelligence.

Starting with the smallest model, we find new 13.3 ″ HP Envy x360, a convertible that barely reaches the dimensions of 29.8 x 21.4 x 1.6 centimeters and weighs 1.33 kilograms. Something that doesn’t stop it from being equipped with a 13-inch IPS touchscreen LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and an internal configuration focused on the basic variant with an Intel Core i5-1230U processor, complete with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of solid state storage.

Although in this case we will have different variants, with additional options that will allow us to decide to use OLED display with a resolution of up to 2880 x 1800 pixelss (while maintaining the same size of 13 inches) and configuration up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB internal storage.

In addition, as stated by HP itself, this notebook does not focus its versatility only on the convertible format, but was designed to offer quiet and optimized operation. To do this, it has an active cooling system with fans designed to generate a minimum noise below 22 dBa, which in the maximum power mode barely reaches 33 dBa.

Both HP Envidia x360 13.3 ″ models therefore feature a wide range of connectors with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a microSD card reader and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. In addition, upon completion of its connectivity, we will be compatible with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless standards. Finally, we find a 66.5 Wh battery accompanied by a 65-watt USB Type-C charger, which is part of the standard, as well as accessories such as a pressure-sensitive stylus for writing or drawing on the screen.

If we move on to the second model of this family, we will find out HP Envy x360 15.6 ″which, repeating the same design as the previous model, will have a small increase in size and will come back to accommodate two variants of OLED or IPS LCD touch screens with FullHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, or LCD screen of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Although the differences will also be noticeable inside, it will be possible in this case to find different options for its components that will range from DDR4-3200 RAM between 8 GB and 16 GBinternal storage options from 256 GB to 1 TB hard drives and processor options focused on AMD and Intel SoC.

As one of the most customized models, users will be able to equip the HP Envy X360 15.6 ″ Ryzen 5 5625U and Ryzen 7 5825U; as well as Intel Core i5-1235U, Core i5-1240P, Core i7-1255P and Core i7-1260P. In addition, the choice of these processors will reduce or expand the possibilities for graphics cards, while the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 is the most powerful available.

All models will again have the same batteries, in this case limited to 51 Wh, standardly equipped with a 65-watt USB Type-C charger and a stylus for the screen.

By entering the main family we find new HP Envy 16conventional laptops equipped with 16 – inch high – resolution screens and a choice of panels and panels 2560 x 1600 pixels IPS LCD at 120 Hz or OLED display with a resolution of 2840 x 2400 pixelsand state-of-the-art internal configurations that will work up to Intel Core i9-12900H processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics.

And this is because clearly pointing to a higher range these computers allow for configurations up to 32 GB expandable DDR5-4800 RAM user and in addition up to 2TB of SSD storage, with two available slots M.2 for your update.

Increasing its power, in this case we will have unoticeably extended battery up to 83 Wh, with 150W or 200W power adapters, depending on the selected configuration. However, as this is not a convertible model, we will not have any additions this time.

In terms of its connectivity, we again find greater use compared to other models, two Thunderbolt ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 port, SD card reader, headphone jack, in addition to support for WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

When we move on to the last model introduced, we find HP Envy 17The largest models in this family will have 17.3-inch screens with panel options that will again vary between IPS LCD and OLED panelsin this case FullHD resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels or 4K 3840 x 2160 pixelsresp.

However, it continues to amaze us that HP did not take the opportunity to introduce its most powerful variant on these models. And this is because these laptops will be limited by maximum configurations up to Intel Core i7-1260P processors and optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 graphics. In addition, despite its larger size and weight, we are once again one step back in terms of its battery, reduced to 55 Wh with this notebook.

This means that for the rest of its components, we will have relatively wide and powerful options up to 32 GB DDR5-480 RAM0 (again in user-upgradable format) along with the repository up to 1 TB in solid state.

In the end, the only notable point compared to the 16-inch model is that we will have another USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, which will offer three inputs instead of two. Although the rest of the connectivity will remain exactly the same.
