Apple announced a solution to the iPhone 15 Pro screen burn-in problem

The latest versions of iOS 17.1 and iPadOS 17.1 have been released and can be downloaded on their respective iPhones and iPads. In updates, Apple added AirDrop support to continue transferring large files over the Internet when AirDrop is out of range. The Apple Music app includes featured songs, albums, and playlists, and each playlist now has song recommendations at the end.

Apple says the update reduces the iPhone 12’s radiation levels in France by disabling a feature that boosts cellular signal when the iPhone is out of control and improves Screen Time synchronization between devices.

More importantly, iOS 17.1 fixes an issue that could cause image retention (called screen burn-in) and a bug that could cause the “Primary Location” setting to reset when the Apple Watch is moved or connected for the first time.

The “iPadOS 17” update for iPad adds support for the USB-C Apple Pencil, which was announced last week. In addition to iOS 17.1, Apple also released iOS 16.7.2 and iOS 15.8 for those still using older versions of iOS.
