On Thursday, October 26, the Chinese Space Agency launched the Shenzhou-17 manned spacecraft with three taikonauts.
This was reported by Xinhua, according to Ukrinform’s report.
The Long March-2F launch vehicle carrying the spacecraft was launched from a spaceport in northwestern China at 11:14 Beijing time.
About 10 minutes after launch, “Shenzhou-17” separated from the rocket and entered the given orbit. It then needs to dock with the Chinese space station “Tiangong”.
The “Shenzhou-17” crew will replace members of the previous mission to the space station as part of the rotation. Tang Hongbo, Tang Shenjie and Jiang Xinlin will spend about six months at the station. They will conduct scientific tests and experiments in orbit.
Taikonauts will also perform experimental maintenance outside the ship, a very difficult task.
As reported by Ukrinform, China successfully launched a new Earth remote sensing satellite of the Yaogan series into space on October 24.
