According to Ukrinform, this was announced on Telegram by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

“We received support from the European Commission for the recognition of e-trust services between Ukraine and the EU. This is another step in Ukraine’s integration into the EU’s digital space, which will provide our country with strong digital and economic prospects,” he said.

According to him, the meeting with Roberto Viola, the digital program director of the European Commission DG Connect, confirmed the tremendous support from Europe on this issue.

The Minister stressed that consultations on Ukraine’s participation in the Digital Europe program are continuing and that he hopes to sign in the near future.

Roberto Viola also commended the work of the Ministry of Justice team on launching COVID certificates in Practice and their official recognition in the EU. “As a result, we were able to immediately create the EU infrastructure to quickly obtain certificates in a short time and initiate instant data exchange between other countries,” Fedorov said.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 19, Fedorov discussed Ukraine’s participation in the Digital Europe program at a meeting with Katarina Maternova, head of the European Commission’s Support Group for the European Commission.
