One UI 6 is a new user interface developed by Samsung on the Android 14 operating system. Officially introduced at the recent annual developer conference, Samsung Developer Conference, its launch is nearingalthough it won’t hit all supported devices at the same time.
You already know that mobile device manufacturers who license Android set themselves apart from their competitors own software layer, which can range from minor interface changes (as Motorola does) to a full application platform that goes to extremes like Amazon’s Fire OS, which even blocks Google’s own services. Samsung is in the middle of the equation and – in our opinion – Its interface is the most advanced in the sector.
At that time, we already published a first look at the beta version that Samsung has been testing in recent months, with news main areas such as a refresh of the user interface, improvements in ease of use, app updates, more optimized feature designs, wider customization options and the always important area of security with better bloatware management or the premiere of Access Keys with Credential and Access Key Manager support.

When will One UI 6 be available?
Samsung has extended updates to major Android versions to three years (minimum), after Google pressured its manufacturing partners to improve support for devices and not make them obsolete through software. Android support includes custom user interfaces that are created by each of them.
Samsung has become one of the best and fastest when it comes to software updates, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down. A company moderator on Samsung’s official community forum in Korea announced that beta version is over and that the updates could start as soon as possible October 30. The information was confirmed by some of the usual leaks once the stable version of One UI 6 appeared on the official servers.
Samsung hasn’t given a date for the updates or supported devices. With the information we have so far, the calendar would look like this:
- Galaxy S23 series (end of October or beginning of November)
- Galaxy S22 series (November)
- Galaxy Fold/Flip 5 (November)
- Galaxy S21 series (late November or early December)
- Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 (late November or early December)
- Galaxy A73, A72, A54 and A53 (December)
- Galaxy Fold 3 and Flip 3 (late December or early January)
- Galaxy Tab S9 tablets (scheduled for November)
- Galaxy Tab S8 tablets (late November or December)
Finish by saying that this is a basic list, but not final or complete, and One UI 6 with Android 14 will eventually make its way to more devices.
