IPhone users have complained of an eSIM bug that disables iMessage and FaceTime. In some cases the only solution is to insert a physical SIM card.
The problem manifests itself in seven different operators. According to Apple smartphone owners, iMessage and FaceTime are accidentally disabled and there is no way to re-enable them. The only solution is to get a physical seven.
Many users are complaining about the same thing or not being able to activate iMessage and FaceTime at all. For some this solution worked: either disable and re-enable the eSIM or enable a new one.
The issue was noticed at least in iOS 15.4. Apple has yet to respond to the complaints.
It will be remembered that the eSIM is a form of programmable SIM card inserted directly into the device.
