Now you can write almost anywhere

Windows 11 update KB5031455 comes with significant changes for Windows Ink. It is now possible hand writing most systems are in the text field. This is an innovation that gives users greater flexibility of use.

This means that if we have a computer with a touch screen and a compatible stylus, we can manually type a term such as “Windows Update” into the Settings search box, for example. This innovation is available in English, but Microsoft has promised to expand support to other languages.

Let’s remember that Windows Ink converts our stroke into digital text. In this sense, the vehicle also includes a system. more accurate recognition and various gestures to delete, select, combine and split words.

To adjust the settings to our liking we will have to enter Adjustment > Bluetooth and devices > Pen and Windows Ink.

The said update also comes with other new features like Microsoft Copilot (not available in Spain) and improvements to the app’s appearance. Windows ExplorerNew design of Start menu thumbnails, native support for RAR files, Passkey manager and others.

It should be noted that KB5031455 is an optional update. One positive aspect is that you can choose to take it early. To do this you need to go to: Adjustment > windows update and look for Optional updates available section.
