VOD News 43/23: ‘Sister Death’, a nun with great bad luck

VOD news brings you the week’s best releases on Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Netflix… And on the dates we’re in, if not all of it, most of you can already imagine what it smells like. So let’s go with Sister Deathwhich doesn’t matter.

Netflix

Netflix takes it for another week, then, although unlike the last two, a little more dignified. And besides that Sister Death, we’re highlighting a few more pieces of content, for better or worse. But don’t stop there, this week there are more interesting things (not to mention), or at least one more that is no longer in video form: a documentary Life on our planet.

Death of a sister

Everything or almost everything smells like Halloween this week, hence highlighting the movie as Sister Death It makes all the sense in the world. This is a new horror-style Netflix original movie, and even more interesting is Paco Plaza’s new film, a reference to the current national terror: Romasantaadvice [·REC], Veronica…There are plenty of other presentations. The question now is:Sister Death Is it at height? But the only answer I can give you is, without seeing it, that the first reviews admit.

A business of pain

We pass with A business of painanother Netflix exclusive that from those behind it (David Yates, director Harry Potter and fantastic animals), but also up front (Emily Blunt, Chris Evans, Andy García…) should be the highlight of the day, but look where the experiment went wrong. But frog, frog. That means it’s there in case anyone wants to give it a shot.

PLUTO

So let’s finish the Netflix section PLUTO, a new sci-fi and detective anime series that looks great. And I’m not saying anything else.

30 coins

First, and while we don’t usually highlight new seasons of anything, it’s coming back 30 coins, another unsanctified host from Álexa de la Iglesia that we can’t skip… why not. Whether it lives up to the previous one or not is another matter, but the opportunity must be given.

Nun II

On the other hand, HBO Max is also premiering Nun IIwhich was only released in theaters a month and a half ago, although it’s said to be a bit confusing if you’re a fan of the demonic nun who appeared in the saga Warren purposeful and did you like the first episode (also available on HBO Max)…
