That’s obvious Xbefore Twitter, has become Elon Musk’s private circus, and there’s rarely a week that goes by where he doesn’t announce an event to boost his platform’s revenue. The last consists of a plan Premium+ ad-free which would cost $16 a month.

The Premium+ plan follows in the footsteps of what started with Twitter Blue, a subscription service that had a grotesque debut due to the large number of impersonations that occurred because it was impossible to distinguish an official account from another that was not.​​​​ The company was then forced to correct it by introducing new verifications that would make it possible to distinguish at least companies and persons and organizations connected to government entities.

In exchange for the new Premium+ tariff from X $16 a month, eliminates advertising in watch timelines and the “for you” section, in addition to providing blue verification and other benefits such as more push for algorithmic responses and full access to the creator toolkit. The company behind the social network also includes a more basic plan that costs just $3 a month.

An interesting aspect of the X Premium+ plan is that It appears to only be available through the web, which aims to be a maneuver to avoid paying Google and Apple store fees. On the other hand, and as is obvious, the $3 basic plan aims to offer less than Premium and Premium+ by missing blue verification and revenue sharing, though it would provide tweet editing, longer posts, video downloads, and small increase in replies and encrypted direct messages.

We’ll see what the next appearance is of Elon Musk, who recently announced plans to turn X (Twitter in the minds of many) into a bank and possibly charge one euro per year to newly created accounts. Whether these initiatives are successful or not, it is clear that the tycoon cannot live without being talked about.
