For Overprovisioning, 10 GB is reserved in the memory chip, so the real volume of such a chip with the declared 256 GB is 266 GB. Xiaomi engineers found a way to use the volume reserved for Overprovisioning without compromising the reliability or speed of the drive.
It is worth noting that UltraSpace is only available on HyperOS smartphones, but it is known that most existing MIUI devices will get HyperOS next year. Later, according to the idea, UltraSpace will be available in these models as well.
