Call of Duty Modern Warfare III is now available and I’m happy to share some good news as this new installment of Activision Blizzard’s famous franchise It’s not difficult at all which means it will work without problems even on a very old and less powerful device.
The truth is that it is not a complete surprise, in principle it is quite normal that the requirements of Call of Duty Modern Warfare III are so low, because we are dealing with intergenerational transition game which will come to both previous generation consoles, PS4 and Xbox One, as well as PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
As usual, Activision Blizzard has divided the requirements into four different groups, so let’s take an in-depth look at each one. I’ll tell you too the level of performance and quality you can expect with each level of requirements and I will reveal all the possible ones equivalence error that could be important. These requirements also match the prediction we shared with you a few months ago.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Minimum Requirements for Multiplayer
- Windows 10 64-bit updated to the latest version.
- CPU Intel Core i3-6100 with two cores and four threads or Ryzen 3 1200 with four cores and four threads.
- 8 GB of RAM.
- 79 GB of free space on the SSD.
- Up to 32GB for high quality assets.
- GeForce GTX 960 or Radeon RX 470 graphics card.
- 2 GB of graphics memory.
We can expect acceptable fluidity with this hardware 1080p with low quality. Radeon RX 470 is more powerful than GeForce GTX 960 because it is actually equivalent Radeon R9 285.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III minimum requirements
- Windows 10 64-bit updated to the latest version.
- CPU Intel Core i5-6600 with four cores and four threads or Ryzen 5 1400 with four cores and eight threads.
- 8 GB of RAM.
- 149 GB of free space on the SSD.
- Up to 32GB for high quality assets.
- GeForce GTX 960, GTX 1650 or Radeon RX 470 graphics card.
- 2 GB of graphics memory.
With this configuration we can also expect a good fluidity in 1080p with low quality. We have the same equivalence error on the GPU. In this case, closest to GTX 1650 and Radeon RX 470 it will be GTX 970and not the GTX 960.
The equivalence error is also in the CPU as the closest thing to an Intel Core i5-6600 would be Ryzen 3 2300Xwhich has 4 cores and 4 threads.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Recommended Requirements

- Windows 10 64-bit updated to the latest version.
- CPU Intel Core i7-6700K with four cores and eight threads or Ryzen 5 1600X with six cores and twelve threads.
- 16 GB of RAM.
- 149 GB of free space on the SSD.
- Up to 32GB for high quality assets.
- GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card.
- 8 GB of graphics memory.
This hardware will allow us to play in it high quality and maintain 60 FPS in most cases, although it is not stated at what resolution. From the graphics cards mentioned, I think we are in for a treat 1440 p.
Again we have equivalence errors. The closest to the Core i7-6700K is a Ryzen 5 2500X, which has 4 cores and 8 threads. In graphics card equivalents, the GeForce RTX 3060 is on average slightly less powerful than the Radeon RX 6600 XT and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Requirements for 4K and Competitiveness
- Windows 10 64-bit updated to the latest version.
- CPU Intel Core i7-8700K with six cores and twelve threads or Ryzen 7 2700X with eight cores and sixteen threads.
- 16 GB of RAM.
- 149 GB of free space on the SSD.
- Up to 64 GB for high quality assets.
- GeForce RTX 3080, RTX 4070 or Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card.
- 10 GB of graphics memory.
With this hardware configuration, we will be able to play in 4K with maximum quality and enjoy a high FPS rate. In this case we only have an equivalence error in the CPU because The closest to the Core i7-8700K is the Ryzen 5 3600X.
The launch of Call of Duty Modern Warfare III will take place on November 10th.
