The Google company publicly shares statistics on the execution speed of various versions of the Android operating system without much enthusiasm. After a few months, Google updated its data for developers and it was finally learned that Android 13 came out on top.
For comparison, in the data published at the end of May 2023, Android 13 ranked only 4th with a 14.7% share, significantly lagging behind Android 11, Android 10, and Android 12. Android 13 now accounts for 22.4% of devices.
Android 11, released in 2020, fell to second place, with its share decreasing from 23.1% to 21.6%. Even the “old” Android 10 ranks third with a share of 16.1% of active devices. Android 12 is only in fourth place with 15.8%.
Even Android 9 Pie gets 10.5% while Android 8.0 Oreo gets 7.3%. The rest of the OS versions, including Android 7 Nougat, Android 6 Marshmallow, and Android 5.1 Lollipop, still take up around 2%.
