The Taiwanese manufacturer’s solution is an external SSD connectable to the USB4 interface. It supports Thunderbolt 3 and 4 and is compatible with previous versions of USB, versions 3.2 and 2.0, because the standard is backward compatible with previous versions of the standard, although, as is obvious in these cases, it does not use its full potential in Speed. A speed that is stratospheric for an external storage drive as it can transfer data at read speed up to 3,800 Mbytes per second.

In order to control the temperatures that will inevitably rise with this performance and to be able to maintain the bandwidth it can achieve, the ADATA SE920 has a proprietary chassis and cooling system that includes both a heatsink and a microfan. It is also innovative in its design as it includes a spring that can extend or retract the unit for easy transport.

In addition to the SE920, ADATA introduced two more external SSDs for mass consumption. These are the versions SD620 and SC610, resistant to falls and shocks with a MIL-STD certificate and a transfer speed of up to 520 Mbytes per second.
