American company SpaceX announced the launch of Starlink satellite internet in Georgia. The message about this was published by SpaceX president Elon Musk (Elon Musk).

“Starlink is now available in Georgia”– the billionaire wrote on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Let us remind you that Starlink Georgia was registered in June last year. In July, the Georgian Communications Commission granted the American company the necessary permits to begin providing satellite internet services in the country.

” The launch of Starlink will make high-quality fast internet available in all regions. This is an important fact in the development of the economy in general and in the promotion of tourism in particular. In fact, there will be no place in the country without quality internet. <..> In fact, opportunities will be equalized between the city and hard-to-reach places in Georgia. Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili stated last year. The Minister believes that the introduction of fast broadband satellite Internet will improve the delivery of government services, provide Internet to schools, increase the level of security and create new opportunities.

The Starlink satellite array is designed to provide broadband Internet access worldwide. SpaceX is actively expanding the group by regularly launching new groups of satellites into orbit. More than 4,500 telecommunications devices are currently operating on the Starlink network. The company has permission to launch 12,000 satellites into space, but is expected to field a total batch of 30,000 devices.
