Several protesters interrupted a U.S. Senate hearing Tuesday while the secretary of state spoke. Antony Blinkenabout Joe Biden’s plan to approve an emergency budget item worth more than $100 billion, including aid to Israel and Ukraine.

The hearing, open to the public, was attended by several people who raised their hands, painted red to symbolize blood, after Blinken spoke.

Some of the protesters also paused to protest Biden’s immigration policies: “All walls must come down,” they shouted.

On Oct. 20, announcing the move in his State of the Union address, Biden asked Congress to approve a more than $100 billion emergency budget item that includes $14.3 billion in aid to Israel and a new $61.4 billion package for Ukraine.
