MSI has introduced its new generation of QD-OLED monitors for 2024. This is the type of technology that the manufacturer uses for its high-end gaming screen offerings and which, as a technological innovation, combines organic panels of 10 light-emitting diodes. bits and technology Quantum dot (QD), which allows for improved lighting control and provides the benefit of reducing the “burn-in” of OLED panels.

The Taiwanese manufacturer will launch half a dozen different models with this type of panel, both flat and curved and in different sizes and resolutions. Curved 1800R ratio models lead the pack and at least two are advanced:

  • MPG 491CQPwith a diagonal of 49 inches and native DQHD resolution.
  • MAG 341CQPwith a diagonal of 34 inches and a native UWQHD resolution.

Both achieve a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 0.3 ms. They support DisplayHDR True Black 400 and extensive support for the main color palettes, so they could be used for any other computing task besides gaming. MSI will renew its OLED Care 2.0 technology on these models, improving the optimization of screen protection to reduce the risk of damage to the OLED panel during prolonged use and extend its life without the need for fans.

For console gamers, they offer HDMI 2.1 ports with full 48Gbps bandwidth, 120Hz refresh rate and VRR and ALLM support. MSI console mode includes CEC (Control of consumer electronics), allowing users to control their devices with a single controller. They also include USB hubs to improve connectivity with mobile devices.
