Both Google Search and Lens can now be used to solve math problems. The tech giant has updated the software of both products so this is now possible.

It is not just limited to mathematics. Basically, you can now contact Search and Lens for a whole range of solutions related to everything in STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics).

Simply enter your equation or integral in the search bar (under Search) or take a photo of it with Lens for a step-by-step explanation.

The AI ​​of Google’s large language models also ensures that you get a solution to problems in the classic description form that we all know from school. These can also be questions about physics, not just mathematics.

Geometry is already more challenging because it is not always easy to put the problem into words. You can now enter a series of triangle problems through Lens. The system interprets images and text and offers a solution step by step.

For other applications in the MINT area, you can now find almost a thousand interactive 3D diagrams from various disciplines. There are examples from biology, chemistry, physics and astronomy, among others.

We’ve recently seen more updates to Google Search. In the fight against disinformation, for example, there are now new functions for checking sources and images. At the beginning of the month there was already a direct integration of generative AI into the search bar.
