Apple has announced that it will discontinue its Audio Plan in early November in order to introduce new features such as surround sound, Apple Music Sing, and other calling features.
Following the discontinuation, Apple’s cheapest subscription will be the $5.99 Apple Music student subscription. The cheapest option for everyone is $10.99 per month for an individual subscription or $16.99 per month for a family plan.
Apple Music’s Voice Plan, which costs subscribers just $4.99, launched in 2021 and allows users to access their music libraries via Siri across any device.
Apple isn’t the only one moving away from the cheapest plan, with global streaming platforms like YouTube and Netflix increasing subscription prices in recent months. For example, on Wednesday the international price of YouTube’s premium plan increased in several countries, including Argentina, Australia, Germany, Turkey and others.
As Ukrinform reports, Apple’s sales continue to decline despite high demand for iPhones and services including Apple TV+.
