On Saturday, Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence initiative xAI will present its first artificial intelligence model to a select group.
This was reported by CNBC, citing the statement of the billionaire and Tesla CEO, Ukrinform reported.
“Tomorrow, xAI will release its first AI for a select group. In some important respects, it’s the best there is right now,” Musk wrote on social network X.
Musk’s artificial intelligence initiative, which he announced in July, aims to “understand the true nature of the universe,” according to its website.
In the spring, Musk reportedly bought thousands of powerful GPUs from Nvidia to build a large language model similar to tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Bard.
In an interview with Fox News in April, Musk shared details of his plans for a new AI tool called “TruthGPT” and added that he feared existing AI companies would opt for “politically correct” systems.
According to xAI co-founder Greg Young, the startup will explore the “mathematics of deep learning,” an aspect of artificial intelligence, and develop a “theory of everything” for large neural networks to take AI to the next level. “
xAI team members include alumni from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter, and Tesla.
According to the news of Ukrinform, Elon Musk founded the company xAI, which will work in the field of artificial intelligence and compete with OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT.
Elon Musk warns that artificial intelligence (AI) could lead to the extinction of humanity if programmed by environmental activists.
