Programmers from around the world have listed the technologies they think are the most groundbreaking. This was reported by ZDNet.

Journalists cite a report by SlashData that surveyed nearly 20,000 programmers. The purpose of the survey was to identify the most interesting technologies from the IT staff’s point of view. It turns out that the majority of respondents – that is, 34 percent of respondents – see cryptocurrencies as an important part of the society of the future. 16 percent of experts said they are actively working on projects related to cryptography.

The developers also noted the demand for NFT (irreplaceable tokens): 11 percent of respondents described the technology as relevant and classified it as “potentially profitable niches.” While 30 percent of respondents said they are interested in blockchain technology, only 12 percent of respondents are currently working on projects in this area. Metaverse and AI software development have also caught the attention of experts—28 percent of programmers confirm they’ve evaluated the potential of these areas.

SlashData also noted that JavaScript remains the most popular programming language used by approximately 17.5 million developers worldwide. Python and Java are ranked second and third, respectively.
