This is approximately 7,586% more than Windows 10 22H2 (5.8GB). At first glance, the increase is small. However, when the size of Windows 11 23H2 is compared with previous versions of Windows 10, the situation looks more serious.
For example, the size of Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update) was less than 4 GB, and we see steady growth with each subsequent update; Up to 5.8GB with Windows 10 22H2 in November 2022.
A similar trend is observed in Windows 11. According to WindowsLatest, the sizes of ISO files for Windows 11 are as follows:
- Windows 11 21H2 English 64 bit – 5.7 GB
- Windows 11 22H2 English 64 bit – 5.8 GB
- Windows 11 23H2 English 64 bit – 6.24 GB
