Google wants its assistant to be an assistant, not an all-encompassing assistant. This is very intriguing and you may not know it, but Google Assistant can be used to create lists of all kinds, as well as notes. And no, you do not open the relevant application to do this, but we can input this content with both voice and text input in the same assistant.
As you might think, this is something that conflicts with the purpose of Google’s other apps, so the company will streamline things: Notes and lists will now be saved in Google Keep. Of course, don’t worry because you won’t lose anything.
If you want notes and lists use the appropriate app
something that happens Sometimes companies want to cover everything when developing applications. Google Assistant is, or should be, an app for summoning the assistant. However, if you try to say “OK Google, create a list” it will ask you to enter a name and once the list is created you can fill it in.
You can create notes in the same section of the app, and you don’t need to do it with voice commands because you can also use manual input like in many other apps.
Now, as we said, it’s something that conflicts with other apps, and the closest one is Google’s own, Keep. It is an application that does not require login, it is very powerful and Its most basic use is to create notes and lists in a very simple way..
In fact, when you ask about the applications for which to create a list, the assistant itself suggests this. And now Google reports on its support blog: all shopping lists and notes will be moved to Keep.
It’s something to start doing right away and the whole process will be automatic. The user will not need to make any options, and when the process is completed, we will see both the shopping list in Keep and the notes we took in the assistant.
But, There are certain situations where content will not be migrated. We leave these below:
- Notes or lists with titles longer than 999 characters
- Notes of over 19,999 characters
- Lists with more than 999 items
- Lists containing any item longer than 999 characters.
These are huge files for Keep, but if you have a list of around 20,000 characters and are worried about losing it, don’t despair: You have until May 21, 2024 to download From Google Takeout. After this date, these contents will be deleted.
