Apple today announced that it has updated Logic Pro, its professional music creation app for Mac and iPad, with new features and improvements, including support for Split View and Stage Manager on iPad. Updates are now available on the App Store.
Logic Pro 10.8 Release Notes for Mac:
• Create a broadcast-ready mix with the Mastering Assistant and its professional palette of intuitive sound shaping tools
• Turn any sound sample into a malleable sound you can create with Sample Alchemy
• Radically change and transform your sound with Beat Breaker, an advanced timing and pitch transition plug-in
• New Pan and Rotate tools allow content to be moved within a region regardless of its location in the timeline
• Now possible to record in 32-bit float format when using supported audio devices
• Free “Hybrid Textures” Alchemy sample set includes a collection of 70 patches and 80+ loops created from found sounds transformed into creative musical instruments
Logic Pro version 1.1 for iPad release notes:
• Create a broadcast-ready mix with the Mastering Assistant and a professional palette of intuitive sound shaping tools
• Record live in Quick Sampler to create instruments and drum kits using the built-in microphone or any connected audio device
• Seamlessly interact between apps like Voice Memos with additional Split View and Scene Manager support
• Select and drag multiple files at once from the Files app to quickly create drum kits or add stamps to your project
• Instantly listen to samples, loops or instruments in the browser by swiping up or down
• Free alchemy sample pack “Hybrid Textures” includes a collection of 70 patches and 80+ loops created from found sounds transformed into creative musical instruments
