If everything goes as planned, another SpaceX launch will take place tonight (November 7). Tonight at 11:01 ET (November 8, 04:01 GMT), a Falcon 9 rocket will deliver 23 more SpaceX Starlink Internet satellites from Florida’s Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral. According to SpaceX’s mission statement, if SpaceX cannot reach that window, seven return opportunities will be available from 23:23 ET to 03:00 ET (04:23 AM 08:00 GMT).

The first stage of the Falcon 9 will return to Earth for a landing attempt approximately 8.5 minutes after launch with the Just Read the Instructions unmanned spacecraft that will be deployed in the Atlantic Ocean.

This will be the 11th launch and landing of the rocket’s first stage, according to the mission description. Meanwhile, 23 Starlink satellites are scheduled to be deployed into low orbit approximately 65 minutes after launch from the Falcon 9’s upper stage.

Today’s mission will be SpaceX’s 80th orbital launch of 2023. Most of these flights were devoted to the creation of the Starlink mega-constellation, which provides Internet services to customers around the world. There are currently more than 5,000 Starlink satellites operating in low Earth orbit, according to astrophysicist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell.
