CORSAIR iCUE LINK technology is without a doubt one of the most important news of the year when it comes to assembly for PC modders and hobbyists. Just in case you didn’t know, it was introduced last May and it makes connecting compatible components much easier, to the extent that it can reduce the time spent by an average of 50%. , for the complete assembly of a complex PC.
Until your arrival, connecting certain types of components was more difficultbecause on the one hand it was necessary to connect them both to the corresponding PC elements (generally to the motherboard and in some cases to the power supply) and to the control unit responsible for controlling some of their functions, such as the flow of liquid in cooling systems or lighting.
This of course translates into additional wiring that has several negative effects. The first is, of course, to complicate the assembly. The inside of a PC is a small space with irregularly distributed components, so it can sometimes be difficult to optimize cable routes. This in turn affects the flow of ventilation inside the CPU, which can have an impact on its performance and, last but not least, it spoils the aesthetics of the inside of the PC, which can be quite unpleasant if we have chosen visually attractive components. .
iCUE LINK technology eliminates this problem, as it allows compatible components to be connected to each other as a chain, instead of each to a controller, since all components have their own microcontroller. During these months, we already informed you about the arrival of new compatible components, with the first components debuting in June and the cooling elements arriving last August.
So, CORSAIR today announced new Hydro X series components compatible with iCUE LINK. Specifically, it is the iCUE LINK XD5 RGB ELITE and iCUE LINK LCD pump/reservoir
The LCD iCUE LINK XD5 RGB ELITE It becomes the brand’s new flagship in the pump/tank combo line. It has a 2.1-inch IPS LCD bomb display, which is also the first on the market, with a resolution of 480 × 480 pixels and, as we have already seen in other models such as the iCUE H150i ELITE LCD We tested a few weeks before, it dynamically displays the coolant temperatures in real time time, images or animated GIFs. It integrates a Xylem D5 PWM pump motor to ensure its reliability.
Water blocks from their side CORSAIR iCUE LINK XG7 RGB 40-SERIES GPU They are an evolution of the XG7 RGB, from which they take all their strengths. They have full coverage and offer different connection options to adapt to the needs of different graphics adapter profiles and systems.
The iCUE LINK XD5 RGB ELITE LCD Pump is now available on the CORSAIR website and is priced at 349.90 euros.
