Poland delivered almost all spare parts and ammunition of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. This was reported by sources in the Polish publication Onet. Thanks to this, Ukraine has the opportunity to restore its combat capabilities. On February 24, the Russian army launched missile attacks on Ukrainian airports and military bases. Their purpose, among other things, was to destroy the Air Force and aviation infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians could not defeat the Ukrainian air force. Thus, they could not gain an advantage in the air. Already in the first days of the war it turned out that, despite the losses, the Ukrainian aircraft were still operating. Now Ukraine has a level of strength to withstand the overwhelming forces of Russia in the air. Currently, European countries are supporting Ukraine with spare parts and ammunition for Soviet vehicles, which increases the combat readiness of their aircraft.

«But the next step should be the transfer of typical NATO equipment. As we can see, the Ukrainian army can quickly and effectively learn to use the new weapons supplied by the West.“- says Lukash Paholsky, journalist and aeronautics expert of the military research and analysis group.
