On the other hand, CBP reported that last October 753 kilograms of fentanyl seized as part of its strategy to stop the smuggling of synthetic drugs.

During the 2023 fiscal year ended September 30, CBP seized more than 12,247 kilograms of fentanylup from 6,622 kilograms in FY2022.

According to the agency, fentanyl seizures in fiscal year 2023 increased by more than 860% compared to 2019.
