The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has licensed SpaceX for the second test launch of the Starship rocket system.
This was reported by Space.com, as reported by Ukrinform.
“The FAA has issued a license for the second launch of the SpaceX Starship Super Heavy vehicle. The FAA has determined that SpaceX has met all safety, environmental, policy and liability requirements.” the US agency said in an emailed statement.
The second Starship test flight is scheduled to begin on Friday, November 17, in a two-hour window from the SpaceX spaceport in Texas, opening at 16:00 Kiev time.
It is stated that additional launch windows will open on November 18 and 19.
SpaceX launched its first Starship test flight in April, but an explosion occurred on the ship shortly after launch.
As Ukrinform reports, the next test launch of the SpaceX company’s Starship rocket system may take place as early as November 17 if it receives the “green light” from several US regulatory agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration.
